THINK ANEW. ACT ANEW.

In a rapidly changing world, success will require new ways of thinking and new ways of acting. At Monmouth College, we're preparing graduates who will be able to learn, adapt, and thrive, no matter what the future holds. They will think anew. They will act anew. They will lead in a new, dynamic world.

"As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew."

ACADEMICS

A Whole Education — All About You

Monmouth is a more intentional education that starts with a simple question: What are you interested in? From there, we help you explore the right mix of major, internship, research opportunity, study abroad, service, leadership positions, and more. Classroom knowledge is just one part of a Monmouth education. This is an education that goes further. And as a result, you will, too.

An Integrated Education

Our world is increasingly complex and interconnected, requiring disciplines to work together. When you graduate from Monmouth, you'll have an awareness of many academic areas and how they connect. You'll have an integrated perspective. You'll be ready for an integrated world.

Triad Program

Monmouth's innovative Triad programbrings together three faculty members representing separate disciplines to collaborate together, along with students, about an important interdisciplinary issue, such as world hunger.

A VERY LOW STUDENT-TO-FACULTY RATIO TRANSLATES TO A VERY HIGH LEVEL OF PERSONAL ATTENTION AND MENTORING.

Our facilities are exceptional, including our new $42 million Center for Science and Business, $22 million Huff Athletic Center, and world-class classrooms, labs, studios, and performance spaces.

Monmouth faculty bring degrees from prestigious schools such as Brown, Cornell, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, and more.

HANDS-ON LEARNING

A Hands-On, Professional Preparation

You can read about things, but wouldn't you rather do them? Hands-on learning brings true understanding. It's why more than three-quarters of our most recent graduates participated in internships. It's why our undergraduates conduct high-level research. It's why you'll find our students studying and serving in every corner of the world. Monmouth students learn by doing.

Professional Internships

Abbott Labs. BMW. Capitol Hill. Caterpillar. Disney World. MTV. Sony Records. United Way. Monmouth internships bring invaluable experience, building knowledge and skills – as well as your resume.

Undergraduate Research

Monmouth students across all majors can participate in research. In fact, our students can begin research in the summer before their freshmen year, as part of our innovative Summer Opportunities for Intellectual Activity (SOFIA) program.

Monmouth graduates bring a larger perspective, because they have experienced a larger world. Monmouth offers semester-long programs around the world.

US News & World Report ranks Monmouth among the top liberal arts colleges in the nation.

STUDENT LIFE

A Place to Engage

You no doubt have many interests. Choose a college where you can get involved and pursue them all. Monmouth is a smaller college, but we offer opportunities that are more typical of a large university. With one big difference – here, you're not competing with tens of thousands of other students to participate.

A Place to Belong

You'll get involved at Monmouth – everyone does. As a result, you'll easily meet other students, make close friends, and feel part of a genuine, close community.

A Place to Lead

With so many activities taking place on our campus, we need lots of students to lead them! Monmouth is the perfect place to explore and enhance your leadership abilities.

WE'RE A SMALL COLLEGE, BUT WE OFFER NEARLY 120 STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS, PLUS AN ACTIVE GREEK LIFE WITH EIGHT NATIONAL FRATERNITIES AND SORORITIES.

Monmouth's 1,300 students come from approximately 26 states and 20 countries.

More than 95 percent of our students live on campus. Seventy percent of our students remain on campus on weekends.

Go Fighting Scots!

Ours is a proud athletic tradition. Competing at the NCAA Division III level as a member of the Midwest Conference, Monmouth offers 24 varsity sports, more than most NCAA institutions.
