FORGE YOUR OWN PATH

In a rapidly changing world, success will require new ways of thinking and new ways of acting. At Monmouth College, we're preparing graduates who will be able to learn, adapt, and thrive, no matter what the future holds. Students come to Monmouth to free the possibility within them in order to prepare for whatever life has in store. They will lead in a new, dynamic world.

ACCORDING TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, 65 PERCENT OF THE JOBS TODAY'S STUDENTS WILL FILL IN THE FUTURE DO NOT YET EXIST.

The Monmouth College Commitment

We take this preparation seriously. That's why we guarantee it. For all incoming freshmen who meet academic and social expectations, we guarantee an opportunity to intern, study abroad, and graduate in four years. If the College doesn't provide these opportunities, up to a fifth year is tuition-free.

MORE THAN JUST A DEGREE

Some of the best jobs don't exist yet.

Monmouth is a more intentional education that starts with a simple question: What are you interested in? From there, we help you explore the right mix of major, internship, research opportunity, study abroad, service, leadership positions, and more. Classroom knowledge is just one part of a Monmouth education. This is an education that goes further. And as a result, you will too.

An Integrated Education

Our world is increasingly complex and interconnected, requiring disciplines to work together. When you graduate from Monmouth, you'll have an awareness of many academic areas and how they connect. You'll have an integrated perspective. You'll be ready for an integrated world.

Triads

Triads bring together three seemingly unrelated academic disciplines to focus on issues of social importance and to bring more depth and breadth to their study. Current triads include Global Food Security and Global Public Health.

A VERY LOW STUDENT-TO-FACULTY RATIO TRANSLATES TO A VERY HIGH LEVEL OF PERSONAL ATTENTION AND MENTORING.

Our facilities are exceptional, including our $42 million Center for Science and Business, $22 million Huff Athletic Center, and world-class classrooms, labs, studios, and performance spaces.

Monmouth faculty bring degrees from prestigious schools such as Brown, Cornell, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, Princeton, Stanford, Yale, and more.

DON'T JUST LEARN ABOUT IT

Get out there and do it

You can read about things, but wouldn't you rather do them? Hands-on learning brings true understanding. It's why more than three-quarters of our most recent graduates participated in internships. It's why our undergraduates conduct high-level research. It's why you'll find our students studying and serving in every corner of the world. Monmouth students learn by doing.

Professional Internships

Abbott Labs. BMW. Capitol Hill. Caterpillar. Disney World. MTV. Sony Records. United Way. Monmouth internships bring invaluable experience, building knowledge and skills – as well as your resume.

Undergraduate Research

Monmouth students across all majors can participate in research. In fact, our students can begin research in the summer before their freshmen year, as part of our innovative Summer Opportunities for Intellectual Activity (SOFIA) program.

Monmouth graduates bring a larger perspective, because they have experienced a larger world. Monmouth offers semester-long programs around the world.

US News & World Report ranks Monmouth among the top liberal arts colleges in the nation.

STUDENT LIFE

Be Involved. Make it your Own.

With opportunities that rival a large university's, you'll get involved – everyone does. And if you don't like what you see, you can start your own organization. That's what the founders of Pi Beta Phi did in 1867, when they founded the nation's first-ever women's fraternity, right here on Monmouth College's campus.

WE'RE A SMALL COLLEGE, BUT WE OFFER NEARLY 120 STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS, PLUS AN ACTIVE GREEK LIFE WITH EIGHT NATIONAL FRATERNITIES AND SORORITIES.

Monmouth's 1,200 students come from 33 states and 33 countries.

More than 95 percent of our students live on campus.

Go Fighting Scots!

Ours is a proud athletic tradition. Competing at the NCAA Division III level as a member of the Midwest Conference, Monmouth offers 24 varsity sports, more than most NCAA institutions.

OUTCOMES MATTER

On to Google, Duke University, Chicago Bears...

Where does all this intentional development lead? To success. Monmouth graduates are in demand because of their ability to think, communicate, and lead. Knowledgeable and experienced, prepared and confident, they are ready to hit the ground running, starting day one.

Wackerle Career & Leadership Center

Our innovative Wackerle Career & Leadership Center was the first career center in the nation to combine career advising with campus leadership. It makes sense. Companies and graduate schools look for a strong academic record, but also participation, leadership, and service. Our Center is able to guide students toward meaningful activities, helping them to build an impressive resume and a sure path to success.

MONMOUTH PLACED 99 PERCENT OF ITS MOST RECENT GRADUATING CLASS IN THE WORK FORCE OR IN GRADUATE SCHOOL WITHIN SIX MONTHS.
Sixty-one percent of our students go on to graduate studies within five years of graduation from Monmouth.

FINANCIAL PLANNING

We're Here to Help

You'll receive the same personal attention in our Office of Financial Aid as you do in the classroom and across campus. We'll sit with you, work with you, and plan with you. We'll guide you through every step of the process. We'll help you to explore every possible option. If you seek a Monmouth education, we can help you make it happen.
